Back for More
People often ask how long it takes to recover from a race and my answer is always the same: it depends on the race. Some Olympic distance races took me longer to recover from than many half distances I have raced. Then there is the recovering mentally versus physically. Some races you finish and you are mentally drained but physically not to bad and others that did not phase you mentally but shelled you physically. Where am I right now? Not as recovered as I will be on Saturday! Just like everything in my life it is a race against the clock.
I am excited to get back on course because there is a lot of speed that was unable to be displayed at Kona. Is it 4:04 caliber? That would be nice, is it sub 8:00 caliber? No American has been there and it would be great to be the first.
